Thigh Lift Surgery

Thigh lift surgery is a surgical procedure that is usually performed to fix sagging skin after weight loss. This procedure can be applied to correct sagging skin in the thigh area and to obtain a more aesthetic appearance. Thigh lift surgery is an effective option to fix sagging skin in the thigh area.

How is Thigh Lift Surgery Performed?

The surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia and our doctor makes the necessary incisions to fix sagging skin in the thigh area. The incisions may vary depending on the area where the surgery will be performed. For example, for a thigh lift surgery performed on the inner surface of the thigh, the incisions may be in the groin area or in an area close to the inner surface of the thigh.

Our doctor removes the adipose tissue and underlying connective tissue when necessary to correct sagging skin. Afterwards, the skin is closed by stretching and suturing the incisions. During surgery, the muscles can also be tightened or reshaped.

Healing Process

After surgery, patients usually stay in the hospital for a few days and the recovery process takes several weeks. After surgery, the patient may need to wear a support corset for a certain period of time. This corset is used to accelerate the healing process and maintain the shape of the thigh area.

What To Do

  • You may need to use a corset or bandage for a certain period of time after the operation.

What You Should Avoid

  • You should avoid heavy exercise or excessive physical activity for the first few days.
  • For the first few days, you should avoid toxic substances such as alcohol and cigarettes. These substances can adversely affect the healing process.
  • Avoid taking hot showers or baths in the first few weeks after the operation. This can increase the risk of infection at the surgical site.
  • After the procedure, you should avoid exposure to water such as pool, sea and jacuzzi for a certain period of time. Water can increase the risk of infection of the treated area and delay the healing process.
