Lip Lift Surgery

During the surgery, our doctor tries to achieve a tighter and younger appearance by reshaping the skin and muscle tissue around the lips. It can be performed on the upper lip or lower lip, but it is usually performed under local anesthesia. By shortening the distance between the nose and the upper part of the lip, the redness of the lip begins to roll outwards and a more voluminous appearance is formed.

Healing Process

The healing process of lip lift surgery may vary depending on the area in which the procedure is performed and the general health status of the patient. However, it is usually normal for patients to experience swelling, bruising and mild pain during the first few days. Within a few days after surgery, most of the wounds heal and the stitches are removed. However, the full recovery process may take several weeks or longer.

  • During the first few days, it is recommended that patients cool their face and lips frequently with ice.
  • It will be helpful to keep your head high while lying down.
