FUE Hair Transplantation Treatment

FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) hair transplant is a modern hair transplantation method. This method is the process of transplanting hair follicles one by one to areas where the hair is sparse or completely absent. FUE hair transplantation is different from FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) hair transplantation, which is one of the traditional hair transplantation methods. FUE hair transplantation gives successful results and provides a more natural appearance due to the use of one’s own hair follicles.

How is FUE Hair Transplant Performed

The FUE method is performed under local anesthesia. Hair follicles are taken one by one with microsurgical instruments and then transplanted to the bald area. This method preserves the natural appearance of the balding area and offers a faster recovery time. FUE hair transplant procedure usually takes between 4-10 hours and can be completed in a few sessions.

Healing Process

The healing process after FUE hair transplantation usually starts within a few days after the procedure. In the first few days, symptoms such as redness, mild pain, swelling and crusting may be seen in the hair transplant area. These symptoms usually disappear within a few days. However, the full recovery period can vary between 6-12 months and it may take some time for the hair to fully settle and the results to become visible.
