Female & Male Eyebrow Transplantation

Eyebrow transplantation is the process of planting hair in the balding or sparse areas of the eyebrows. This process makes the eyebrows look fuller and more attractive, making the facial expression clearer. Eyebrow transplantation is usually performed using the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) or FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) method.

How Is Eyebrow Transplantation Performed?

The FUE method is the process of taking hair follicles one by one and transplanting them to the eyebrow area. The FUT method, on the other hand, is to take the hair follicles as a strip and divide them into smaller pieces and transfer them to the eyebrow area. Both methods are performed under local anesthesia and the recovery period after the procedure is usually fast.

During the eyebrow transplantation process, the person’s own hair follicles are usually used. However, if the person’s hair follicle is not sufficient, donor hair can also be used. Donor hair is usually taken from the nape area and transplanted to the eyebrow area.

Healing Process

The recovery process after eyebrow transplantation usually takes place within a few days after the procedure. Immediately after the procedure, the person may have redness, swelling and mild pain in the eyebrow area. These symptoms usually disappear within a few days. However, the full recovery period can vary between 6-12 months and it may take some time for the results to become visible.

What To Do

  • Apply creams or lotions recommended by our doctor to the eyebrow area. These products can help reduce swelling.
  • When washing is necessary, perform the washing process as recommended by your doctor.

What You Should Avoid

  • Avoid touching, rubbing, applying pressure and scratching the eyebrow area for the first few days.
  • Avoid touching the eyebrow area with a brush or comb for the first few days.
  • Avoid peeling the crusts in the eyebrow transplant area.
  • You should avoid heavy exercise or excessive physical activity for the first few days.
  • For the first few days, you should avoid toxic substances such as alcohol and cigarettes. These substances can adversely affect the healing process.
  • After the procedure, you should avoid exposure to water such as pool, sea and jacuzzi for a certain period of time. Water can increase the risk of infection of the treated area and delay the healing process.
